Well Marbled – Grilled Flat Iron Steak – Salad

The Flat Iron Steak is a cut of steak from the shoulder of a steer,well marbled, flavorful and tender. This cut of beef can be a little costly because you only get four pieces per steer, that’s why you don’t usually see it displayed. But it’s well worth the price.

Grilled Flat Iron Steak Salad

5oz. – Flat Iron Steak grilled
2oz. – Jicima (julienne)
2oz. – Roasted corn
2oz. – Carrot(julienne)
3oz. – Mixed greens
2oz. – Roma Tomato (diced)
2oz. – Cucumber (diced)
20z. – Herb red wine vinaigrette

Preparation:
Grill flat iron steak to desired temperature let rest.
Cut Jicima, carrots, cucumbers, Tomatoes, roast corn let cool until you can remove kernels from husk.
Make Herb red wine vinaigrette.
Toss all ingredients except steak in a bowl, transfer to plate, slice steak into strips and arrange on top of salad.
